We are excited to share the amazing work of our Organizational Friend Partners. OSEE & our Organizational Friends have informal agreements which allow for cross-pollination in our work, such as promoting one another, sharing knowledge and building capacity between organizations, exploring collaborations, and establishing reciprocal benefits such as sending our volunteers / staff to one another’s events as PD.

Please note: OSEE only has the capacity to partner with a small number of organizations each year, due to us being a volunteer-run enterprise.

Camp Kawartha is celebrating its 100th year in 2021. It has grown into a year round facility offering curriculum linked outdoor and environmental programming to school children, summer camps and workshops on sustainable living to the general public. Over 16,000 people are impacted by Camp Kawartha each year.

Our Mission: Camp Kawartha inspires environmental leaders and stewards of all ages through dynamic, accessible, year-round outdoor programming and powerful partnerships.

Camp Kawartha is currently working with partners from local conservation authorities, land trusts, faculties of education, public health, school boards, parents and educators to create an environmental framework for our region. This is a call for the whole community to determine what each child needs throughout their development in order to become a steward, and to make sure that the whole community is involved in providing these experiences. Whether it means being caretakers of nearby green spaces, raising monarch butterflies, working as citizen scientists or learning about sustainable living, the Camp is inspiring our whole community to raise a responsible steward, one child at a time. Called the Pathway to Stewardship and Kinship, this project involves over 40 organizations. To find out more visit www.pathwayproject.ca
