Interactions is the Journal of the Ontario Society for Environmental Education. The journal has historically been written by and for formal and non-formal environmental educators, and extended as a benefit of being an OSEE member.
In more recent years, Interactions moved to become a digital publication, typically being sent to members 4-5 times per year, including a Conference in Review Edition.
In spring 2020, we decided to put the Interactions publication on hold.
Interactions Archives for All
Three years of Interactions editions from 2013/14 – 2015/16 are available to everybody through our archives.
For OSEE members, we have taken the most recent 15 issues (2016/17-2018/19) and highlighted the articles and resources with continued relevance for Ontario teachers.
There is a wealth of information in our past issues!
- Currents of thought and news about environmental education issues
- Games and activities for making connections to EE
- Reflections of EE in practice by educators
- Curriculum linked lesson plans
- Reviews of EE materials by educators
- Articles which address the perceived barriers to getting outside & doing EE
- Articles which address the expanding scope of EE
- Environmental art (photos, paintings, sketches, etc.)
Interactions Live
In lieu of the publication, we now organize a series of online workshops for Ontario educators. Interactions Live events will model different approaches and lenses for engaging with environmental education (EE). Grounded by the presenter’s expertise, Interactions Live offers a diversity of learning experiences, such as incorporating diverse perspectives into your EE, offering activities, and strategies and ideas for taking learning outside. Members have free access to these events. Learn more here.
