UPDATES: COVID-19

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATES

October, 2020

The Ontario Society of Environmental Education is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our communities during this period of ongoing change in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. We also want to support Ontario educators during this time (school and nature centre teachers, and parents & caregivers) by suggesting and pointing at events, articles and ideas, and opening up dialogue between educators to support the reopening of schools.

A response to Ontario’s Plan to Reopen Schools: Input, Ideas & Data from OSEE

We are excited to share our document, written July 2020, which is intended to provide “Input, Ideas and Data” to respond to the Ministry of Education’s invitation to inform plans and policies for the reopening of schools. Click here for more details.

EcoLinks Conference 2020

In light of all the unknowns related to COVID-19 Public Health directives for the Fall, OSEE cancelled the EcoLinks 2020 Conference.

We hope that some of the 2020 presenters may still be available in 2021 to share their wisdom and lessons in EE virtually. More info to come later in the Fall 2020.

Membership 2019/20

In light of COVID-19 and the need to cancel the 2020 conference, membership for the 2019/20 year was extended. With the launch of our new membership structure we now invite our 2019/20 members to formally extend your memberships until August, 2021 at a level that makes sense for you ($0+). Explore our new membership levels and updated benefits here.

*Please note – In spring 2020, we decided to put the Interactions publication on hold.
In lieu of this membership benefit, beginning in the fall 2020, OSEE is hosting a new series of online workshops & webinars called Interactions Live. Click here for details.
