OSEE is an entirely volunteer-run organization, devoted to supporting Ontario educators to make connections to environmental education (EE). Our work is committed to advancing the possibilities for EE in both formal, and non-formal Ontario school systems. Read more here.

Shape Our Work, Build Our Strength in Numbers
Each year, we invite members to shape our work through surveys and by attending our AGM. Our membership-base enables us to demonstrate a broad network of support which gives us leverage as EE advocates. On occasion, we’re invited as a subject association to review curriculum, or give feedback to initiatives led by the Ontario Ministry of Education.

Explanation of Membership Changes
In spring 2020, we decided to put the Interactions publication on hold as we considered how best to share news, EE content, resources and events. However there is still a wealth of information in our past issues! As a membership benefit, we have taken the most recent 3 years of editions and highlighted the articles and resources with continued relevance for Ontario teachers.
Membership Revenue
All membership revenue generated by OSEE directly supports our work. This includes the following: behind the scenes organization of Interactions Live events and our EcoLinks conference, costs of OSEE’s administration systems and website, offering honorariums to special guest teachers, building our board’s capacity to address, understand, and take actions related to inequity in education and in the outdoors, and to OSEE’s long-term sustainability and reach.
