Conference Description

Ecolinks is not your typical conference. Instead of sitting in a darkened room watching a PowerPoint presentation, the day is packed with hands-on, classroom-ready activities for teaching Ontario curriculum through an environmental lens. Not only is the day a lot of fun, you’ll return to your school with new activities and skills for teaching environmental education.

Presenters

We encourage and invite interested parties to submit a workshop proposal. Proposals will be collected and evaluated until February 5th, 2018.

Directions

As per High Park Nature Centre’s website (https://www.highparknaturecentre.com/location):

TTC

  • At High Park subway station, head south on High Park Ave. to Bloor Street West. head south on Colborne Lodge Drive (about a 3 minute walk). The Forest School is located on the left, just after Spring Road.

Walking or Biking

  • At the entrance of the park from High Park Ave. and Bloor St. West, head south on Colborne Lodge Drive (about 3 minute walk). The Forest School is located on the left, just after Spring Road.

Driving (also see map for details)

  • Enter the park at Bloor St. W. and High Park Ave. (main gates). (A) Drive south on West Road. At the Grenadier Restaurant, West Road merges with Colborne Lodge Drive and turns northward. Drive north along Colborne Lodge Drive until you see the pool on the left and tennis courts on the right. Free parking is available in small street-side lots near the tennis courts (B).

Note: Those traveling from outside Toronto may wish to park at a TTC subway station with commuter parking.
